Kevin is doing great. He got to Texas on Sept.8, 2010. He has been assigned to work in Bryan ,Texas. He is excited because he gets to use a car - not a bike! They are doing a lot of teaching and he is very happy. One of the girls he was teaching asked if he liked dark chocolate. He loves dark chocolate - so now she calls him her Dark Chocolate Man when she sees him! The weather has been really hot, but has cooled off a little now. His companion had to go to Houston for some meetings because he is a trainer so Kevin got to be a Spanish Elder for 3 days. I am sure that was an interesting experience. He would love to get some letters from home. So, his address is:

A funny story - After Kevin got to Bryan, TX, he was praying and felt something on his leg. He thought it was a spider, but it turned out to be a huge cockroach! He swatted it and then smashed it - YUCK!!! That is pretty good for someone who hates spiders and wouldn't go near them - even to kill them! He says that the spiders there are really big!
Kevin is loving the work and has learned so much from the scriptures already. He enjoyed all the sessions of General Conference and even took 50 pages of notes. He was amazed that he never fell asleep either! It is wonderful seeing the the spiritual growth he is making. We miss him a lot, but are so happy that he is where he is and doing what he is doing!
